“The Good Stuff: The Miracle of Adoption” article for (again) promoting the myth that even though this adoptive parent (like many others) knows nothing about the adoptee’s former life or whether coercion or worse was involved in the adoption, she still talks about how much the birthmother loved  her. “We don’t know the full story of Ren’s Chinese birth mother, but we do know she loved her daughter very, very much.”

“Middle Tennessee families open hearts, homes to Haitian children” article for the following comments about the needs of double-traumatized children and the general lack of understanding about why children in this situation may want attention. “These kids just need love. If you just sit down on the ground, you would literally have 30 surrounding yo. I would have to stand up because they would be on top of me. “Kentucky officials rewrite rules to restrict information on child deaths”. This article explains the “emergency” resolution to restrict access to information about child deaths in Kentucky. This was NOT done to protect any child, but instead was a way to cover their collective butts due to ” a lengthy court fight over access to cabinet records involving child-abuse deaths or near deaths in cases where social workers had been involved.”
