FacePalm Friday
Facepalm2

This is where your hosts will list their top picks for this week’s FacePalm moment—something they learned or read about this week that caused the FacePalm to happen (you know, the expression of embarrassment, frustration, disbelief, shock, disgust or mixed humor as depicted in our Rally FacePalm smiley).

We invite you to add your FacePalm of the week to our comments. Go ahead and add a link, tell a personal story, or share something that triggered the FacePalm on the subject of child welfare or adoption.

Your Host’s Selections:

Would you like the “Newborn” side with your Nachos?

The latest US baby-selling was attempted at a  Taco Bell .”A woman has been arrested in Vancouver, Washington for trying to sell her 3-day-old infant to a woman eating in a Clark County Taco Bell.

Heidi Knowles, 36, was arrested at a nearby motel after the woman at the fast food chain called the local sheriff’s office. Knowles had tried to sell the woman her newborn for an affordable $500″

“She’ll be charged with attempted child selling, a class C felony in the state.”

Louis Vuitton’s Core Values Angelina Jolie Video

Ten minutes of our lives that we can’t get back . The things we do to bring our readers some facepalms! Along with full-page ads across the globe showing AJ in Cambodia is this “Journey” video where she talks about adoption pretty much in the context of her kids eating crickets like potato chips when they go to Cambodia. Not about visiting birthfamilies, other cultural aspects, transracial adoption, giving to orphanages or having Louis Vuitton donate to orphan causes… or the whole Galindo thingprisoner

We did find that she is going to give some undisclosed amount of money from her photoshoot to an unnamed charity. How much food or clothing could be purchased for orphans for the cost one of those Alto bags or better yet if she auctioned off her personalized one in the photoshoot? So much for her humanitarian efforts in Third World countries.
