Direct-Report Russian Adoptee Abuse to Russia
Since Anton Batrakov  reported his own abuse to Russia, that got us thinking.
No Title
Instead of spinning wheels with reporting to CPS, DOS, COA—reporting that rarely if ever gets acted upon–why not just directly report abuse to Russia? So if you are a Russian adoptee of any age who has been abused by your adoptive parents, or if you know of any Russian adoptee who is being abused, we say report it directly.

See this website http://english.rfdeti.ru/display.php?id=3810 for the description of the foster children offense monitoring group

“Children’s Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation, Pavel Astakhov, created a special group of continuous monitoring of crimes against the foster children in Russian and foreign families.

We ought to mention that Astakhov, jointly with the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor-General’s Office is developing a procedure for providing practical legal assistance for victims.

Astakhov instructed all Children’s Rights Commissioners to carefully monitor all violations of the rights of foster children and to respond promptly to the facts.

Let us remember that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed the law, extending the right of Children’s Rights Commissioners. Pavel Astakhov, said that the appropriate institutions were established all over the country . He specified that in three regions the candidates still aren’t determined. This are the Jewish Autonomous Region, Tuva and Ryazan. ”

  1. How sad is it when children have to contact officials in another country to get help?

  2. I have a idea! How about if your an adopted child from ANY country…and you have been abuse, verbally or physically by your adopted parents you report it to this website….

yes, it is sad that you have to contact officals in another country to get help. But what is even more sadder is that you have been adopted, by people who have passed a "homestudy" that was probably more descriptive about their home or assets, or the "color of the sky" in their neighborhood, than about their potiental to verbally or physically abuse you, or treat you or your adopted siblings with less respect than they treat a dog in your home. These adoptive parents are probably "religious",,,which means that being a Christian or treating you with gentle hands means NOTHING to them. You were "acquired" by your adoptive parents, to fill their void, whether religious or emotional. We have seen adoptive parents beat, poison, drown, cage, and send children to far away places, in lieu of getting the psychological help that they should get themselves, inorder to be loving parents. What about adoptive parents who have already abuse adopted children, or interupted failed adopted children from living in their home and they go on to adopt more children…… Accountablitity, yet to see it with the officials or the crooked adopted parents.

  3. This is irresponsible. Has anyone ever heard of RAD? Wait until an investigation has been done before jumping to judge. This child has been in a state institution for the last 16 months after therapists found out he had molested younger children in his adopted home. So not sure how they couldn't have recently abused him if they haven't seen him for a year and a half.

  4. Anonymous Feb 18: What is irresponsible? The child contacted Russia. Apparently they are investigating. Your comment is the only information that we have about this child BEING in an institution for 16 months. The article says he is 16 years old and his parents SAID they would put him into an institution. We do NOT know if the US is investigating this case. Many times they do not investigate. Check our archives for many examples of this.

Any published or other verified information will be updated on his case.

Russia says it is collecting information on abuse. Do you know that the US does NOT collect this information on a federal or state level and therefore has not been sharing this information with sending countries?
