This will be an archive of heinous actions by those involved in child welfare, foster care and adoption. We forewarn you that these are deeply disturbing stories that may involve sex abuse, murder, kidnapping and other horrendous actions.

From Miramar Beach, Mississippi, “an 18-year-old old girl from Imperial, Miss., was arrested Monday and charged with battering her foster mother, according to an arrest report from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

The girl and the 65-year-old woman who was charged with her care were staying at the Windancer condominiums off Scenic Gulf Drive, the report said.

On Monday afternoon, the girl kicked the woman in the stomach, punched and pushed her and threw a remote control at her, according to the report.

She was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery.”

In these kinds of cases, we always have to ask if the foster parent received the total information on the child. This relates to appropriate placement of the child. It isn’t always about safety of the child, but of the foster and adoptive families as well.
