Eye on Adoption Agency Programs: Expansion of Ethiopia Program, Stopping Ethiopia Applications and New Polish Program?
Today, we share three adoption agency developments.
AAI Michigan Expands Ethiopia Program
Ethiopia is not exactly a pillar of ethics, yet one agency is expanding their program. AAI Michigan announced on March 26, 2012 that they now work with 15 orphanages. AAI Michigan says “We are also thrilled to announce the opening of “Jane’s House”, a transitional home in Addis Ababa for AAI-matched children. The children are brought from remote villages to Jane’s House to get even better care while waiting for their AAI families to bring them home! ”
Dove Adoptions International Closes Applications to Ethiopia
Dove assures everyone that their March 19, 2012 was their choice. “Over the last two years there have been many changes to the Ethiopian adoption process that Dove has been watching, tracking and notifying families of. As of March 19th, 2012, Dove Adoptions International, Inc. is placing a temporary hold on accepting new family applications to our Ethiopia adoption program. Please note that this is a Dove Adoptions International decision. Currently, Ethiopia is not closed to intercountry adoptions. This temporary change does not affect any family currently in process with Dove and was decided in an effort to better support those families currently in the Ethiopia adoption program.”
My organization, “All God’s Children International” is expanding its activities into Poland and we’re in search of a key partner to represent us here. The initial task is to set AGCI’s permanent presence in Poland, acquiring all necessary permissions and accreditations from the government, and leading us through all the organizational steps.
The partner will take full responsibility for the whole matter –from working out a proposal on best ways of fulfilling the project with estimation of all it’s practical aspects, such as time frame, resources needed, etc., and up to creation of full functioning representation.Upon accomplishment of this project the partner will be offered a role of the Head of Representation with all responsibility coming from such executive level position along with career opportunities and financial benefits applied to it. However, the initial phase is not requiring full time employment, so combining jobs is not a problem with us.
Successful candidates must fit into a number of criteria, the crucial one is experience with adoptions in some way through career background.
NOTE! We’re not contracting recruiters to help us with this search at the moment.
Have a nice day!”
