How Could You? Hall of Shame-Chris McCall

From Winfield, Missouri, former foster parent Chris McCall, who previously had 11 children in care from 2004 to 2010 was “arrested on Thursday [March 3, 2012] after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 16-year-old [former] foster child.

Chris McCall, a fourth-grade teacher at Central Elementary School, was charged with statutory sodomy.

According to deputies, the victim told a friend that McCall had sexually assaulted him at his Winfield home for about a year. That friend then alerted authorities.

Deputies said they do not believe there were other victims.”

Chris and his wife Rachel have not had foster children living in their home since March 2010. The victim was a former foster child.

“Ferguson-Florissant School District officials said McCall, who has taught in the district for 11 years, has been put on paid administrative leave.

“We have no allegations of any students in our district being involved in this private matter against Mr. McCall,” district spokesperson Shantana Stewart said in a written statement. “The safety of our students is of greatest importance, and this charge has no connection to our students.”

Authorities said McCall has no previous criminal background.

He is currently in the Lincoln County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.”
