A few figures pertaining to foster abuse cases: “On June 1, a federal jury in U.S. District Court in Erie awarded $8,654,769 to Kenny Bryan, 20, who sued two Erie County Office of Children and Youth social workers.”
“Pennsylvania State University is paying two public relations firms $208,000 a month for public relations and crisis management. The university donated $1.5 million to the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape and $1.1 million to the Center for the Protection of Children at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital to train more doctors to treat sexual abuse victims.” [These figures do not take into account the unrealized losses including those from a reduction in donations to Penn State and Second Mile and the closing of Second Mile.]
