The Future of Adoption in America

Don’t you want to know about it? Well, the symposium is scheduled in…UTAH!

The mecca of unethical adoptions is hosting the symposium on October 18-19, 2012 and is sponsored by the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys.

But wait…there is more…

Guess who is involved with the symposium? Yes, you guessed it. If it has anything to do with Utah, Larry Jenkins must be involved. He is the AAAA Conference Chair.

Keynote Speech by Katherine Strottman, Executive Director of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, Washington, D.C.

Plenary Session by Adam Pertman, Executive Director of the Evan B. Donaldson Institute.

See brochure here that includes the tentative topics like same-gender couples, Native American rights, confronting “broken” adoptions and pre-natal abandonment (they make these terms up as they go, don’t they?) Yikes!

  1. Oh my goodness! Pre-natal abandonment? I tried google and it assumed I meant parental abandonment. Either they want to help the personhood laws/over turn Roe vs Wade – or find a way to promote Safe Haven laws as the way to go to bypass any father involvement and get granted permanent anonymous status for the mother … either way – I am against that.

Or perhaps they just showed their lack of due diligence by not using spell checker on their brochure…nothing new there.

I went to the website for further info and got the brochure again. Hopefully some GOOD advocates can sign up and attend.

    • I think that they actually mean relinquishing prior to birth for the bio father and even the mother. This sounds similar to the new laws they are pushing in Utah. Scary stuff.
