Florida Adoptive Mother Pleads for Help on News Station

We haven’t been able to find an update on this June story.

“A mother, afraid of her oldest son, so much so, she wants to un-adopt him, and have the state take back custody of him for fear of his violent behavior.

Since last year, 17-year-old Chris Cliff has been acting out in anger.
Chris, adopted by Mandy at age 12, suffered years of prior mental, physical and sexual abuse, and Mandy says he’s now trying to sexually abuse young children as well.

Judges have ordered Chris to be detained four times in the last years for his attacks on Mandy and her young children, ages 3 and 5.

In ten months Chris turns 18 and plans to leave home.

“How many times has he threatened to kill you?” asked CBS12’s Jana Eschbach.

“I stopped counting after 10,” said Mandy Cliff. “He’s going to literally kill somebody. He has extreme sexual issues..that I have reported.”

The last attack on Mandy was in June when he slashed her with a razor blade..before that, he threw her through glass sliding doors. He daily threatens to kill her so often, she sleeps at night behind a licked steel door, to protect her self, her spouse, and her 2 younger children.

The judge will rule this weekend on whether to send Chris to juvenile detention for failing to appear in court. We will keep you posted on his case.”
