From Nottingham, UK, Herbert Robert Keith Moss,71, “had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault on a child and one of indecent exposure in relation to another child.

Moss, formerly of Edmonton Road, in Clipstone, was found out when he exposed himself to a child in May 2012.

An adult witnessed what happened and he was reported to the police.

He was arrested in May 2012 and officers investigating the allegations discovered that he had abused another child.

Moss was jailed for eight months and added to the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday.

Detective Constable Rhona Keenan, who led the investigation, said: “This is a man who was trusted to take proper care of children. He failed to do that and initially went on to deny what he had done.

“I hope this sentence is a reminder to those who have suffered at the hands of the people they should have been able to trust, that they can come to Notts Police.””
