How Could You? Hall of Shame-Willie Djuan Turner UPDATED

This will be an archive of heinous actions by those involved in child welfare, foster care and adoption. We forewarn you that these are deeply disturbing stories that may involve sex abuse, murder, kidnapping and other horrendous actions.

From Miami Gardens,Florida, Willie Djuan Turner, 42, “is accused of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl he lured out of foster care in Orlando in July, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.”

“Bond was set at $800,000 for Willie Djuan Turner, 42, of Miami Gardens, who is charged with sexual assault, lewd and lascivious acts on a juvenile, battery, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, among other counts, jail records show.

During a bond court hearing Wednesday, Turner claimed he was an innocent entrepreneur who was just trying to get his toilet paper supply business off the ground.

“I’m selling one package for $20, [that’s] 48 rolls for $20,” he told Broward Judge John “Jay” Hurley. “I’m asking for a reasonable bond because I just got out [of prison], your honor, and I’m really innocent on this and I’m trying to help myself out. I’m not a violent person.”

The girl, now 16, told a prosecutor with the sex crimes unit that Turner had beaten her with a belt, slammed her finger in a car door and threatened to kill her for refusing sex or trying to leave him, according to the arrest report read in court.

Turner stood shaking his head as Linder listed the allegations.

The teenager has been a victim of human trafficking in the past and was in foster care until Turner sent her money and persuaded her to run away and join him in South Florida, investigators said.

Turner’s arrest Tuesday in West Park is the latest on a record that dates to 1987 with about 20 convictions. His crimes included strong-arm robberies, batteries, grand theft auto, drug offenses and resisting arrest, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Turner, who has at least nine aliases, was released from prison Jan. 5, 2013, records showed.”
