From Butte County, California, Former foster dad , Eugene Charles Hastings, Sr.,56, “was arrested in Butte County and accused of touching his former foster children inappropriately.”

“In June, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office received a report that 56-year-old Eugene Charles Hastings Sr. had inappropriately touched a foster child who was in his care back in 2014, according to deputies.

The child was no longer in Hastings’ care when the report was filed.

Detectives conducted an in-depth and thorough investigation into the allegations, including contacting former foster children who filed similar complaints against Hastings in years past, officers said.

Hastings was interviewed and arrested on six counts, including lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 years of age, deputies said.

He was booked into the Butte County Jail and is being held on $300,000 bail.

Update: A search of the Butte County court records shows that Eugene will have a “PRELIMINARY HEARING – SPECIAL SET” on December 8, 2015 after pleading not guilty to all 11 charges.
