From Pensacola,Florida, foster father, Aaron Ritz, 39,”is out on bond [$10,000] after being charged with cruelty toward a six week old baby.

Police said Aaron Ritz placed his hand over the child’s mouth and nose to keep the baby from waking up other children in the house. The pressure caused the child to get a bloody nose.

Ritz did bring the baby to the hospital where he was arrested and taken to jail.

Multiple agencies are reviewing the case. The State Attorney’s Office will decide if any charges need to be filed. ”

“Aaron Ritz, 39, … was charged with child abuse without great bodily harm.

Ritz took the child to an emergency room late Wednesday night because she was lethargic and had a bloody nose, according to the release.

Lt. Chuck Mallett said Ritz was trying to feed a 6-week-old female foster child who was fussy and crying. In an attempt to keep her from waking other children in the house, Ritz told police he put his hand over her mouth/nose area and moved her to another room.

An investigation determined Ritz pressed too hard on the child’s nose, which resulted in her getting a bloody nose, Mallett said.

The child remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.” ???
