From Corpus Christi, Texas, 23-month-old Brae’ Leigh Bode  “who was about to be adopted is dead. Now Corpus Christi PD wants to know what happened.

A 911 call came in Sunday afternoon from the Copper Ridge Apartments on the ….

It was for a 23-month-old girl who was unconscious and not breathing.

Two women at the apartment told first responders they put the child to bed then found her not breathing in her crib.

She was taken to a  nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The women said they were in the process of adopting the child out of foster care.”
