From Gaggomahal village, India, “the Ramdass police have booked an elderly person for allegedly raping a minor girl. The victim was foster daughter of his son.The police have registered.
The police have registered a case under Sections 376 and 506, IPC, against the accused, identified as Madan Lal (60), a resident of Gaggomahal village. No arrest has been made so far. The incident occurred on August 28 while complaint was lodged in the evening yesterday.Mother of the victim stated to the police that after the death of her first husband, Keemti Lal of Nakodar, her family solemnised her second marriage with Karan Kumar of Gaggomahal village around three years ago.
She said she had two children from her first marriage, a nine-year-old girl, the victim, and a six-year-old son Devan. She said from the second marriage she had a two- year-old girl Ridima.She alleged that her father-in-law Madan did not like her children from first marriage and used to tease her first daughter. She said her daughter used to tell her about this, but she tried to ignore it. She asked her daughter not to go to him.
She said, “I also told about the same to my husband.”She said on August 28 evening, she found her daughter missing. While searching for her she went to an ancestral reglious place where Madan Lal used to work as Sewadar. She said she heard cries of daughter and found that the accused was raping her. She said Madan threatened her of dire consequences and asked to keep mum. But she told her husband about it. However, he also advised her to keep silent.
Perturbed over this, she went to her parents home and told her family about the incident. Yesterday, she along with her brother approached the Ramdass police, where a case was registered against Madan Lal.Asthar Masih, the investigation officer, said the accused was on the run and the medical examination of the victim was being conducted following the registration of case.”
