How Could You? Hall of Shame-Australia-Foster Daughter’s case-Child Death

This will be an archive of heinous actions by those involved in child welfare, foster care and adoption. We forewarn you that these are deeply disturbing stories that may involve sex abuse, murder, kidnapping and other horrendous actions.

From Queensland, Australia, “the girl, identified in court as C, had spent majority of her life in state care and was out with her carer on June 27 last year when the carer bought some McDonald’s.

The Brisbane Times reported that the girl had a history of taking food that did not belong to her and as a result the carer deliberately put the food in the foot well in the front of the car while C was seated in the back.

The girl managed to find a way to reach around the seat and took some of the food from the McDonald’s bag. [Um…How did THAT happen?]

The girl began eating the food before choking. The carer said she turned blue and tried to resuscitate her.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and were able to resuscitate her before she was taken to Lady Cilento Childrens Hospital where she was placed on life support.

The girl’s family and guardian made the decision to turn off her life support.

The girl has been born with partial brain damage, developmental delays, lung disease and also had to be fed through a gastronomy tube.[So, were they getting McDonalds for themselves?]

Due to the number of special needs her mother could not care for her and she had been in a care home for most of her life.

The deputy state coroner found that the carers took all reasonable steps required to prevent the incident from happening and then calling for medical assistance when she began choking.

The deputy coroner did however mention that the amount of visits from child safety officers while C was in care was  not enough and did not meet departmental requirements. “

“A deputy state coroner has decided there will be no inquest into the death [What? Angry Devil]of a 14-year-old girl that had choked to death on McDonald’s while with her carer.”
