From Hyderabad, India, “four persons were arrested by Rajendranagar police on Saturday for stealing a four year-old boy Khaleel last Monday from Chintalmet.
Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya said at a press conference that a Chintalmet resident Jabin Begum’s son Khaleel was taken away by one of the accused, Faheema, by luring Khaleel and his elder sister Reshma, 6, with a promise to buy them Kurkure while they were walking on the road near their residence.
During the investigation, police came to know that Waheed has three daughters and he has been desperate to have a son.Some time back, Waheed lost his five-month-old son due to ill health and since then he made several vain attempts to adopt a son. Finally, Waheed and his wife Farhana, contacted their relative Faheem Begum, a resident of Chintalmet, to help them adopt a boy by any means.
Faheema who had been waiting for an opportunity on Monday came across Khaleel and his sister Reshma. She took the two to a shop and gave Rs 10 to Reshma to go to a nearby shop and buy two packets of Kurkure while she waited with the boy.No sooner had Reshma left the place than Faheema slunk away along with Khaleel.
“Faheema went to Kishan Bagh and sold Khaleel to Waheed for Rs 15,000.Later they even forged an adoption deed too,” the police commissioner said.”
