From Kattankudy, Sri Lanka, “a 50-year-old foster mother of Mathar Road, Navatkudha in Kattankudy, was arrested in connection with the death of a 4-year-old child yesterday.
According to Kattankudy Police, the child had injuries on his body. The foster mother had taken the child to Arayampathy hospital. Hospital authorities found that the child was dead and informed the Police.
The body has been sent to the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital for the postmortem. Kattankudy Police are investigating.”
