Former Malaysian Foster Child Sentenced to 20 Years for Killing his Foster Parents

“A 29-year-old rubber tapper was sentenced to 20 years in jail for killing his foster parents by planting a bomb in their motorcycle in 2015.Speeding Motorcycle

The sentence was handed down by High Court Judicial Commissioner Datuk Ahmad Bache after Cha Woon Fui pleaded guilty to the Oct 7, 2015 offence.

He was charged with causing the death of his 72-year-old foster parents Cha Mok Liong and Fong Ah Fong at KM10 Gua Musang-Kampung Pulai.

It was reported three years ago that the elderly couple died when the motorcycle they were riding on exploded.

Woon Fui was reportedly dissatisfied over an inheritance issue.

He was charged under Section 304 (a) of the Penal Code that carries a maximum 30-year jail term.”
