From West Palm Beach, Florida, group counselor Michael Wheatley “is accused of raping a teen at a group home 13 years ago.”

“The investigation began in March when a man told Margate Police Michael Wheatley sexually battered him in a hospital room. The man also claimed Wheatley raped him as a 15-year-old boy when he lived in a group home in Lantana. According to police, Wheatley worked as a group counselor at the home.

Police confronted Wheatley about the accusation.

According to the report, Wheatley confessed to driving the 15-year-old to an apartment for oral sex. The victim said Wheatley then raped him. The victim told police he felt scared, and just curled up into a ball until Wheatley took him back to the group home.

Wheatley is being held on $250,000 bond.”
