How Could You? Hall of Shame-Brad J. Talley

From Saybrook, Illinois, foster parent Brad J. Talley, 45, ” faces a dozen felony counts accusing him of sexually assaulting her and a second child.”

He “is charged with nine counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The alleged sexual offenses reportedly occurred between 2013 and 2016, according to charges.

Bond was set at $1 million, meaning Talley must post $100,035 to be released.

According to a probable cause statement presented to a judge by Assistant State’s Attorney Jacob Harlow, authorities learned of the allegations involving the foster child in July after the alleged victim reported the accusations to her current foster mother. The girl was placed in Talley’s Saybrook home in late 2014 and removed in March 2015, according to the statement.

The child told McLean County sheriff’s investigators the incidents occurred when she was younger than 10 years old.

In an interview with a children’s advocacy center in Indiana, the child alleged that her friend also was abused by Talley, said the statement.

In her August interview at the McLean County Children’s Advocacy Center, the second child also accused Talley of abusing her for several years during visits to his home, starting when she was in kindergarten.

Talley told the second child not to tell anyone about the alleged sexual abuse, Harlow said in his statement.

Talley is due in court for a Sept. 7 arraignment.”
