From Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, “a foster parent denies abuse allegations made against her daughter by their foster children.

Police arrested Tiara Kruta, 21, on Sunday on three child abuse complaints after one of the boys ran away from their home.

“She’s devastated,” said Carrie, foster parent. “I mean, kids are her life. She wants to protect kids that are like them.”

The foster mother and her daughter said they took the boys in several years ago. She said they have a large stack of paperwork from the boys’ therapists and schools.

“These boys have unfortunately, been damaged by their biological parents,” said Carrie. “We’ve taken a lot.”

Police came in contact with the oldest boy after he ran away from their home twice over the weekend. They found him near Northeast 37th and Kelley Avenue.

Court documents state the 12-year-old had several scratches on his face and neck. Police said the marks appeared to be made from fingernails. The boy told officers he got in trouble earlier in the day and Kruta began “hurting him.”

Police went to the boy’s home to speak to his younger brothers.

“The kids said when they were in trouble in the house,” said Officer Megan Morgan, Oklahoma City Police Department. “They would get tied up to the beds using zip ties.”

Officers found fresh injuries around one of the boy’s ankles and scaring around his wrists. The victims all told police that when they get in trouble, Kruta only feeds them potted meat once a day.

The foster mother said the abuse allegations against her daughter are false.

“The allegations the have made are all due to the fact that the oldest one is upset,” said Carrie.

She said the boys are now in DHS care.

“From what they tell me,” said Carrie. “They will be separated.”

Police did find cut zip ties when they searched the home. The foster parent said they were from the remodelers working on the home.”
