From Mesa, Arizona, 61-year-old group home worker, Anthony Aduesi “was arrested last week for allegedly striking and kicking a 14-year-old client with severe behavioral health issues.

Police said on May 13, two staff members observed Anthony Aduesi, 61, punch the victim with closed fists and kick him at a Care and Dignity group home near Broadway Road and the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.

Police said the assault resulted in an abrasion over the victim’s right eye, and the victim’s father wants to press charges.

Adusei first denied striking the minor and said he was only preventing the victim from biting him, according to court documents. But police said he later changed his story and admitted to striking the victim once.

Adusei, an employee at the group home for one year, was arrested for one count each of child abuse and aggravated assault and held on $2,500 bond.”
