From Junction City, Oregon, a “former foster parent is accused of abusing an underage girl for years, according to court records.

Eric Walston, born in 1974, was arrested at his home Saturday night, according to Junction City Police Chief Bob Morris. Morris said the case was investigated by his office and Child Protective Services, which is part of the Department of Human Services.

Court records show that Walston faces charges of first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct. According to court documents, the abuse allegedly started in 2015.

Morris did not say how Walston knew his alleged victim.

Police conducted a search warrant at Walston’s home but did not say what items were taken into evidence.

A spokesperson for the Department of Human Services told KEZI 9 News that Walston was no longer a foster parent by some point after 2015 but did not say exactly when he left the program or why. However, the spokesperson said Walston parted with the program before charges were brought against him.

The case is still under investigation, Morris said, and additional charges could follow.”
