From Sydney, Australia, “a Sydney man has been charged over the alleged ongoing sexual abuse of a teenage girl in the city’s southwest.
Police said the man is a former foster carer and is accused of sexually abusing the teenager on multiple occasions while she was in his care.
Detectives arrested a 57-year-old man at a home in Ingleburn, in Sydney’s southwest, last Friday.
He was taken to Campbelltown police station and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual intercourse (between 10 and 14 years), four counts of aggravated sexual intercourse (between 14 and 16 years) and two counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age (domestic violence).
The man allegedly sexually and indecently assaulted the girl – then aged between 12 and 15 – on several occasions while in his care.
The accused appeared before Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday where he was formally refused bail and is due to reappear before Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday.
