How Could You? Hall of Shame-Allen H. Reese

From Worcester County, Maryland, “a former CEO of the Olivet Boys & Girls Club in Pennsylvania,”Allen H. Reese, 65, “is accused of taking a 15-year-old boy across state lines and sexually abusing him.”

He “who lives in Delaware, was indicted in Maryland court in January for sexual abuse of a minor, sex trafficking, two counts of third-degree sexual offenses, attempt to commit third-degree sexuals offenses, fourth-degree sexual act with a minor, two counts of engaging in sexual act with a minor while being a court-ordered service provider, the indictment shows.

Reese is accused of abusing a teen in foster care whom he was a guidance counselor for on two occasions in November 2019, according to DelMarvaNow.com. After the teen contacted police, Reese allegedly attempted to flee the country, the news outlet reports.

A Chris Winters, CEO and president of the Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Berks County, said Reese has not been employed by that organization since December 2018, but that the club is prepared to offer full cooperation with authorities involved in the investigation and will continue to do so throughout the entire legal process, if necessary.

“It is our understanding that no Olivet Boys & Girls Club youth were involved in these allegations, however, we are both shocked and deeply saddened by this situation as no harm should come to any child under any circumstances,” Winters said. “Our hearts go out to any victim and their families.”

Reese, whose case is scheduled to be heard at trial in October, did not respond to a mailed letter seeking comment. He is currently held without bail at the Worcester County Jail in Maryland, according to court records.”
