DOS: Frank Adoption Center Temporarily Ceases Sierra Leone UPDATED
From here:
“On February 8, 2021 the Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) notified Frank Adoption Center that it must temporarily cease providing adoption services in Sierra Leone. IAAME determined that it was necessary to take this action due to Frank Adoption Center’s failure to maintain substantial compliance with relevant accreditation standards. The cessation will remain in effect until Frank Adoption Center successfully completes corrective action as determined by IAAME.
During this cessation, Frank Adoption Center must cease to provide all adoption services in connection with intercountry adoption cases in Sierra Leone. Frank Adoption Center is not required to transfer ongoing cases to another provider at this time if no adoption services will be provided during the cessation.
If you have an open case with Frank Adoption Center, please contact them directly to find out how the cessation will affect your case. You may also wish to review the information on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ website at If Your Adoption Service Provider is no Longer Accredited or Approved.
Federal regulations authorize designated accrediting entities to review complaints and take action when it determines regulatory standards have been violated. The Department of State facilitates communication to the public about the outcome of accrediting entity determinations. Please direct any questions about this announcement to IAAME at www.iaame.net. ”
