How Could You? Hall of Shame-Kimber Hibbs’ case-Child Death and lawsuit

From Princeton, Indiana, foster child Kimber Hibbs ,5, drowned on August, 3, 2021.

“Indiana Conservation Officers say they are investigating after the body of a child was pulled from a Princeton Aquatic Center pool.”

“DNR officials say the child was found unresponsive in the pool, treated by EMS and taken to the hospital.

The child did not survive.”

“Officials say the investigation is ongoing.

14 News spoke to Princeton Police about the investigation Tuesday night. Police now say DNR is the lead agency on the investigation.Conservation Officer Matthew Clark said they’re working with the police and coroner as the investigation moves forward.”

“The parents of a five-year-old who drowned over the summer at a pool party at Princeton’s Aquatic Center are suing the city and the child’s foster parent.

The lawsuit claims the city failed to maintain reasonable surveillance of the pool during the party and lifeguards failed to provide emergency care.

It also states the child’s foster parent failed to maintain reasonable supervision.

The lawsuit seeks damages for medical, hospital and other expenses stemming from Kimber Hibbs’ death.”
