How Could You? Hall of Shame-Andrew and Kaytlin Fultz

This will be an archive of heinous actions by those involved in child welfare, foster care and adoption. We forewarn you that these are deeply disturbing stories that may involve sex abuse, murder, kidnapping and other horrendous actions.

This is a 2025 case.

From Haskell, Oklahoma, foster parents, Andrew and Kaitlin Futz, were arrested “after a little girl was seen in a video standing outside during a winter storm” and charged with felony child neglect on February 24, 2025.

“The child was removed from the foster home by DHS, according to her biological mother’s attorney, Don Smolen.

The Oklahoma State Department of Education is investigating the teacher who is also a foster parent accused of leaving a child outside in freezing temperatures.

“The safety and well-being of our students are our top priority,” said State Superintendent Ryan Walters. “lf an educator shows signs of abusive behavior or fails to ensure the safety of children, whether inside or outside the classroom, they have no place in our schools. OSDE is committed to taking swift and decisive action to protect Oklahoma students.”

OSDE said it filed a report with Awareity and launched a review of the teacher’s actions.

OSDE said the Haskell Police Department and Oklahoma Department of Human Services are also involved in the investigation.”

In a search of Oklahoma court records, it shows that Andrew will have a premilinary hearing on February 25, 2026. Kaytlin’s case was dismissed.
