Adopted Girl From India Lies About Her Adoptive Parents So She could Return to India to Meet Up with Her Boyfriend?

Wow! That is messed up!

She must really “love” that boyfriend.🤷

So you have to ask the Elephant-in-the-Room question…. Why was a “US-based woman in 2018” allowed to adopt this girl and her brother...The second question is What agency did the adopted couple use?

“Police on Friday detained a boy after he allegedly tried to enter a shelter home in Balasore to meet the adopted girl. who recently returned to Odisha from the US. The girl is being counselled at the shelter home following a controversy surrounding her adoption”

“Earlier this month, the girl posted a video on social media accusing her adoptee mother of torture and forced conversion…” [Wait, what?Conversion to what? Could it be that a Christian/Mormon couple adopted a Hindu/Muslim child and forced her to convert to Mormonism/Christianity?I don’t know. The article does not go into depth on what religion she was to convert to.]”However, after returning to Bhubaneswar recently, she claimed that the allegations were made up in an attempt to reunite with her boyfriend”[Hmm…very interesting..]

“Officers said that the girl will continue to stay at the shelter until counselling sessions are completed.”[Hmm…]

“We are coordinating with the child welfare committee and the adoption agency to ensure proper care of the girl,” an officer said. [Hmm… proper care of the girl….]

Things are not always as they seem…

India is a Hague Convention country…I guess they don’t question the adopters religion? or whether they would forcefully convert the adoptee to a new religion? If she was adopted in 2018…and she still has a boyfriend… 7 years later…😳Um..what the f@ck? Then maybe… she should have never been adopted…Duh!

Let me dust off my 29 May 1993 ” 33. Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption” (Hague Convention) notes...

Article 15 says “If the Central Authority of the receiving state is satisfied that the applicants are eligible and suited to adopt , it shall prepare a report including information about their identity, eligibility, and suitability to adopt, background, family and medical history, social environment, reasons for adoption, ability to undertake an inter country adoption, as well as the characteristics of the children for whom they would be qualified to care.” Hmm… I guess The Hague Convention does NOT really work…C’est la vie!
