How Could You? Hall of Shame-Haley Blythe

From Montgomery County, Ohio, foster mother, Haley Blythe, “is in jail after being indicted on multiple felony charges related to a minor in foster care being exploited.”

She “was indicted on the following charges after an investigation that the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force conducted:

• Trafficking in Persons (Compulsion to Involuntary Servitude), first-degree felony
• Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance, second-degree felony
• Endangering Children (Sexual Matter), second-degree felony
• Compelling Prostitution (Minor for Hire), second-degree felony
• Promoting Prostitution (Transportation for Hire), fourth-degree felony
• Illegal Use of Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance (fifth-degree felony)
• Contributing to Unruliness or Delinquency of a Child (first-degree misdemeanor)”

“Sheriff Streck said the Task Force’s investigation revealed that Blythe was alleged to have knowingly exploited a foster child in her care in multiple ways, including facilitating and promoting commercial sexual activity and placing the child in harmful circumstances.

According to the sheriff, the foster child was from a neighboring county and was placed in Montgomery County due to being removed from their assigned foster placement at the time of the incidents.”
