How Could You? Hall of Shame-Todd and Stacy Myers

From Mount Joy Township, Pennsylvania, adoptive parents Todd and Stacy Myers “were sentenced after being found guilty of endangering the welfare of children and prohibited offensive weapons charges related to their adopted son.

The Adams County District Attorney’s office described their actions as “heinous treatment.”

Todd Myers was sentenced to five to 23 months in prison. Stacey Myers received a sentence of 11 and a half to 23 months.

According to charging documents, Pennsylvania State Police went to their home in March 2021 to investigate possible neglect and abuse.

The 14-year-old boy told police his room was in the basement with no heat.

A doctor evaluated the boy and found he was severely malnourished.

Investigators also said Stacey Myers would use a stun gun on him.”
