From Huntsville, Alabama, foster and adoptive mother Jamie Annette Schreiber, 37 “s facing multiple child abuse charges, Huntsville Police officials confirmed.

Officials say the Huntsville Police Department’s Special Victims Unit started an investigation into 37-year-old Jamie Annette Schreiber on January 20.

The investigation was for possible child abuse happening in her home on Magnolia Leaf Circle.

Officials say that on the day of the report, a safety plan was put in place to ensure that the children would not endure additional harm. They say Schreiber left the home.

Investigators continued their investigation and evidence was secured, “indicating probable cause” to bring forth charges for four counts of Willful Torture and Abuse of a Child – Family.

According to court records, Schreiber is in a contested divorce with her husband, who claims that she has “fits of rage.”

Documents also show that the two have fostered and adopted children and considered fostering two others before the divorce.

Schrieber was arrested on Thursday morning and booked into the Madison County Jail.

She has since been released on a $12,000 bond.”
