From Stockton, California, David Hall ” has been found guilty of sex trafficking and abusing multiple minors who were living at a local foster youth residential facility, according to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.

Ron Freitas from the DA’s office announced Tuesday that David Hall was convicted following a court trial of several felony charges, including human trafficking of three minors, lewd acts on a child under 14, and oral copulation with a minor.

Authorities reported that Judge John Soldati found Hall guilty of trafficking victims ages 12, 13 and 17.

Evidence showed that during the summer of 2023, Hall targeted vulnerable children living at the Stockton foster facility, picking them up and exploiting them for commercial sex work in Stockton and other areas, prosecutors said in a press release.

“There is no greater priority for this office than the safety and dignity of our children,” Freitas said in a statement. “This verdict is a testament to the bravery of the young survivors who stood up to their abuser in court.”

The investigation was led by the Stockton Police Department Vice Unit, with assistance from the San Joaquin County Juvenile Probation Department. District attorney investigators also coordinated transporting victims from across California to testify.

Freitas said that Hall has a prior 2016 strike conviction for assault with a firearm and now faces an enhanced prison sentence, along with additional strikes and lifetime sex offender registration, prosecutors said.

He added that sentencing is scheduled for April 9.”
