A 2025 case has come to light.

From Yellowstone County, Montana, foster parent Justin Jonathan Junkert, 42, was arrested June 18 [2025] and is facing felony counts of attempted rape and sexual assault of an underage boy.

While Yellowstone County prosecutors have only filed criminal charges connected to the assault of a single teen, the 42-year-old has been under investigation for multiple accusations of molesting boys under his care, according to charging documents.

Junkert allegedly told law enforcement that he specifically aimed to take in survivors of sexual abuse as a foster parent.
