From Inland Empire, California, 68-year-old foster parent, Edward Sepulveda, “who fostered nearly 100 children over the years has been accused of sexually assaulting four of them in the early 2000s, and police now believe there may be additional victims.

Detectives began investigating 68-year-old Edward Sepulveda of Moreno Valley in September 2025 following a report of historical sexual abuse involving a child victim, the Riverside Police Department stated in a news release.

During that investigation, officers identified three additional victims of sexual abuse that occurred about 24 years ago when they were children living at a residence …in Riverside. Sepulveda also allegedly abused his victims at various other locations in the city of Moreno Valley, the Police Department said.

Investigators said that Sepulveda was a foster parent who fostered approximately 90 children over the years.

He was arrested and booked on multiple felony sexual abuse charges on July 17 and remains in custody.

Bail for Sepulveda was set at $1 million.

“Detectives believe there may be additional victims or individuals with information related to this investigation,” police said.
