This will be an archive of heinous actions by those involved in child welfare, foster care and adoption. We forewarn you that these are deeply disturbing stories that may involve sex abuse, murder, kidnapping and other horrendous actions.

From Mobile, Alabama,a March 2014 case comes to light. “On Tuesday, March 18, around 4:45 p.m., Mobile Police responded to Providence Hospital to investigate an incident involving 23 month-old Christian Henderson who later died from his injuries.”

“Mobile police arrested a 24-year-old father in the death of his adopted 2-year-old.

Police originally reported the child fell out of a high chair but investigators no longer believe the toddler’s death was an accident.”

““He (John Henderson) told police and medical staff the child had fallen from a high chair. The medical examiner was able to determine today that was not how Christian got his injuries,” said Mobile Police spokesperson Ashley Rains.

Authorities said an autopsy revealed Christian died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen and the cause of death was ruled a homicide.

“We have talked to and have arrested his adoptive father 24-year old John Henderson and he’s being charged with Christian’s death,” Rains said.  “We do know the manner of death was homicide and Mr. Henderson was alone with Christian in the apartment at the time.”

Fox10 News spoke with the family Wednesday, March 19. They did not want to release a statement at this time.”

“The Mobile District Attorney’s office says John “Chris” Henderson confessed to punching his 23-month-old four to five times.

The DA’s office says the baby, Christian Henderson, suffered lacerations to his liver, pancreas and intestines and died from his injuries.

Mobile Police say Henderson brought the baby to Providence Hospital Tuesday, March 18 and told medical staff the child fell from a high chair. However, an autopsy revealed the child died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen.

The cause of death was ruled a homicide and Henderson was charged with murder.

Henderson’s family chose not to talk to the media and the suspect is not represented by an attorney at this time. Child’s mother was not in court, but his biological father was.
” I’m just trying to take it all in,’ said Jojuan Carey.

Carey says he has only seen his child once citing visitation issues with the baby’s mother.

” I haven’t seen him…tried to ask her to you know, can I do for him? But this is who she let father my child and look where he is at,” Carey.

Carey’s sister, the child’s biological aunt, was also in court.

” He wasn’t even two. He wasn’t even able to ride a bike,” said Jackson.

She said all she has now of her nephew are pictures.

” The next step is to say goodbye..say our farewells,” said Jackson.

Henderson appeared in court for a bond hearing Friday, March 21. The district attorney’s office asked for a $200,000 bond, but Judge George Hardesty granted a $250,000 bond.

Henderson will be back in court March 24.”
