From Alor Setar, Malaysia, “an eight-month-old baby has been allegedly abused to death by his foster parents.

Kedah CID chief Asst Comm Mohd Nashir Ya said the baby was admitted to the Jitra Hospital by the parents at 12.10am yesterday.

“A doctor found a fractured collarbone and injuries to the head and body,” he said.

“The baby was transferred to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here but he succumbed to his injuries at 4.04pm.”

Police detained the parents, aged 30 and 40, from their home in Jitra at 6.45pm.”
