16-Year-Old Girl in Group Home Arrested After Throwing Bleach At Counselor’s Face

“A 16-year-old girl was arrested in New York after she allegedly threw bleach in a counselor’s face on Friday at a foster home that cares for children who have been neglected or abused.

Liana Brown, a resident at MercyFirst in Long Island, had gotten into trouble with the 53-year-old counselor for taking another student’s food, officers said.

Brown then retrieved a cup of bleach from the cafeteria kitchen before throwing it into the woman’s face, according to police.

The counselor was released from a nearby hospital after being treated for chemical burns to her face, NBC New York reported.

Brown has been charged with second-degree assault.”
