DOS Alert: Saint Vincent and The Grenadines UPDATED
The following alert was issued on July 1, 2016 here:
“Alert: Temporary Hold on Adoptions as St. Vincent and the Grenadines reviews Procedures
The Adoption Authority in St. Vincent and the Grenadines has placed a temporary hold on the processing of all adoption cases while it reviews their current procedures and regulations. The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines estimates this process will take at least two months.
We are working to find out how current adoption cases pending in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be affected during this review.

Update: US DOS sends the following on November 22,2016:
“Notice: Resuming Adoptions in St. Vincent and the Grenadines
The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has informed the Department of State that the newly formed Adoptions Committee was sworn in on November 4 and will resume the review of pending adoption cases. Prospective adoptive parents with pending cases should be contacted directly by the Adoptions Committee.
