Jerry Sandusky’s Adopted Son, Jeffrey, Arraigned for Corruption of Minors UPDATED
“The son of convicted molester and Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky has been accused of a similar crime. 41-year-old Jeffrey Sandusky sent a teenage girl sexually explicit text messages, the Pennsylvania District Attorney says.
He was arraigned Monday on one count of solicitation (statutory sexual assault), one count of solicitation (involuntary deviate sexual intercourse), 2 counts of solicitation (photographing, videotaping, depicting on computer of filming sexual acts); 6 counts of unlawful contact with minor; 2 counts of solicitation (sexual abuse of children); and 2 counts of corruption of minors.
Officials say charges stem from an investigation that began Nov. 2016. Sandusky allegedly sent the victim text messages, asking for naked photographs. This wasn’t a random victim: He was dating the child’s mother, and allegedly told the young girl to delete the demand.
She responded like this, according to court documents:
No, we don’t need to talk and we aren’t going to. You did what you did and I’m not going to give you a chance to try and justify it. You literally tried to guilt me into doing it and you even told me specifically what I ‘needed’ to do. You know who does that? Rapists and abusers, not stepdads who care about their stepdaughters. I don’t know how many times I need to tell you no and to stop before you get it.
Police also say he demanded oral sex from another girl in 2013.[Good Lord!]

REFORM Puzzle Piece
Update: The Court of Common Please of Centre County says that a jury trial will be on 8/4/17.
Update 2: “One of the sons of former Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has pleaded guilty to 14 counts of child sexual abuse in Centre County, Pa.
The Centre Daily Times reports that the younger Sandusky was charged earlier this year:
“Jeffrey Sandusky was charged in February after state police at Rockview began an investigation when a 16-year-old known to Jeffrey Sandusky reported that he had sent the minor text messages asking for nude photos in March 2016. Another minor told police that Jeffrey Sandusky had asked her to perform sex acts on him when she was 15 years old, according to a release from the District Attorney’s Office.”
Due to go on trial next week, Sandusky, 41, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors and 12 felonies in a deal with prosecutors, under which he would serve three to six years in prison. The judge isn’t bound by the deal and could sentence him to up to eight years.
Centre County District Attorney Stacey Parks Miller said the plea spares the victims the trauma of testifying. “We are happy that these girls can move forward and experience a life with adults that deserve their trust,” she said.
The elder Sandusky was convicted in 2012 of 45 counts of child sexual abuse and sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison. Earlier this year, three former Penn State officials were given jail sentences for failing to report him to authorities. Former head coach Joe Paterno, who died in 2012, was fired in 2011, also for failing to adequately report Sandusky.

Update 3:“Jeffrey Sandusky, the son of former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, was sentenced to three-and-a-half to six years in Pennsylvania state prison after pleading guilty to sex abuse charges after he requested naked photos from two underage girls in March 2013.
On Friday, Jeremy Hartley of the Centre Daily Times reported Sandusky pleaded guilty to 14 charges, including 12 felonies, before the case went to trial in September. He was originally arrested in February after authorities were alerted of the allegations in November 2016.
Lance Marshall, Sandusky’s lawyer, said there was never any physical contact between his client and the two girls, who continued to live with him for three years after his request.
Centre County assistant district attorney Crystal Hundt said Sandusky showed “a pattern of predatory behavior in his repeated insistence that ‘victim one’ send him photos.”
Other aspects of the sentence include one year of probation and a lifetime registration as a sex offender.
Jeffrey is an adopted son of Jerry Sandusky, a defensive coach at Penn State for three decades before his retirement in 1999. He was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison after being found guilty on 45 counts of child sexual abuse in 2012 for molestation over a 15-year period beginning in 1994.
The scandal involving Jerry Sandusky rocked the Nittany Lions football program in 2011. It ended the 45-year tenure of head coach Joe Paterno, who died in 2012, and led to jail sentences for school officials Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz.”
