From Las Vegas, Nevada, foster father Grant Claycomb, 51, “was arrested on four counts of Lewdness with a Child under 14 and one count of Sexual Assault with a Child under 14.

Metro’s Sex Crimes Bureau arrested 51-year-old Grant Claycomb Thursday.  The charges stemmed from allegations which were made by a female foster child that resided in his home in 2015.

According to Clark County, Claycomb hasn’t had a foster care license since November 2015, but before his license was expired, he is said to have cared for numerous foster children while he was licensed in the state.

Detectives have also learned that Claycomb has been an active youth leader for his church for many years.

As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives are seeking the public’s help to find additional victims. Any parents whose children may have had past contact with Claycomb are asked to come forward so that police can determine if their child has been victimized.

Former foster dad arrested for lewdness, assault against child [Las Vegas Now 3/18/17 by Nikki Bowers]

“An arrest report released Monday said the wife of the man accused of having inappropriate contact with a child under the age of 14 believes the allegations against her husband.

When Metro Police interviewed Grant Claycomb’s wife, Judy Claycomb, she told detectives she believed the allegations against her husband were true because in the past he had allegedly groped her, along with other women.  She also said he had a preoccupation with pornography.

Judy told officers she knew something was off with her husband and the girl because in one instance she walked out to the backyard where the child and Claycomb were, and when they noticed her, they quickly backed away from each other.

The girl victim, who was a former foster child of Claycomb, told authorities that not only had the 51-year-old touched her in a sexual manner four different times, but that he had also sexually assaulted her.

The child whose name isn’t being released to protect her identity was interviewed by police at the Southern Nevada Children’s Assessment Center on Dec. 15, 2016.  The child was with her new foster mother when authorities interviewed her.

According to the report, the victim told officers, the sexual touching started a couple of months after she arrived at Claycomb’s house.  She said once or twice a month Claycomb would touch her legs, thighs, butt or reach under her bra strap.

Detectives said the child told them the inappropriate touching would always happen when she and Claycomb were home alone or in the living room.  She told officers as he was touching her, Claycomb would tell her it was ok.

The day after Claycomb touched her “no-no spot,” he went on a fast.  Detectives say the child asked him why he was fasting and he told her it was because of what he had done to her the previous day, according to police.

The report said, Judy also told police that Claycomb himself was sexually abused by his stepfather when he was a kid, something Claycomb also admitted to officers.

However, he denied the accusations against him.

Claycomb faces four counts of Lewdness with a Child under 14 and one count of Sexual Assault with a Child under 14.
