How Could You? Hall of Shame-Claire Huenefeld

From Knoxville, Tennessee, foster mom Claire Huenefeld “has been arrested and charged with child endangerment after Knoxville Police say she left an infant in a hot car.”

“Claire Huenefeld was taken into custody Saturday evening after someone spotted the infant in a mini-van parked in the Kroger parking lot at Kingston Pike and Cedar Bluff.”

“The 9-month-old boy was strapped in a car seat alone with the windows rolled up. The temperature outside was around 90 degrees at the time.

The store’s manager grabbed cold water and towels and found the van was unlocked. The child was crying, had a red face and was sweating. The boy was then taken to the hospital.

Huenefeld says she did not remember the child was with her.

Huenefeld is being held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility. She has been charged with one count of child endangerment.”
