How Could You? Hall of Shame-Jordan Lamar McClain

This will be an archive of heinous actions by those involved in child welfare, foster care and adoption. We forewarn you that these are deeply disturbing stories that may involve sex abuse, murder, kidnapping and other horrendous actions.

From Ocean Springs, Mississippi, “Jordan Lamar McClain, 20, of Ocean Springs, is charged with felony child abuse” for taking “five girls ages 11-16 from foster care in Mobile last weekend and drove them to Ocean Springs, where police found them under the influence of drugs.”

“Authorities say McClain met a 16-year-old on Facebook. On Sunday, he drove to Mobile and picked up her up, along with the other four girls, the news outlets reported.

A resident saw the group on the beach and notified police because the girls appeared to be intoxicated.

Police later found McClain and the girls in a cemetery, where two of the girls were unconscious. The girls were treated in a hospital and released. They were found to be under the influence of marijuana and Xanax.

Authorities said the five girls were returned into the custody of foster care.

McClain is being held at Jackson County Adult Detention Center on three counts of felony child abuse with serious bodily harm. His bond is set at $8,400 on each charge.”
