How Could You? Hall of Shame-18-Month-Old Foster Son case-Child Death

From Springfield, Oregon, “an 18-month-old boy died Thursday morning while in foster care, Springfield Police confirmed.

Lt. Scott McKee confirmed officers are investigating the death.

An autopsy is planned, which is standard protocol, he said.

The boy was living with a foster family in Springfield at the time of his death.

The Oregon Department of Human Services declined to comment on the case.

“I’m sorry, but the Department of Human Services cannot release any information about child welfare investigations, or even to confirm or deny whether there is one open,” Christine Stone with DHS said. “That is due to privacy laws.”

We have elected not to publish the name of the child at this time.”
