From Rhinelander, Wisconsin. foster parent and teacher Stephanie Pudlowski, 36, “is accused of having sex with her 16-year-old foster son after her husband is said to have secretly recorded their alleged trysts.”
“Stephanie Pudlowski, 38, was arrested on May 15 after police say audio and video taken in the home they shared in Oneida County showed she had a sexual relationship with the boy.
She has since been charged with sexual assault of a child placed in substitute care, sexual intercourse with a child age 16 or older and causing mental harm to a child, NewsWatch12 reports.
Pudlowski is said to have met the boy while teaching at James Williams Middle School. Police say no sexual contact occurred on district property.
But after taking in the teenager last year Pudlowski is said to have admitted having sex with him, according to authorities.
The Rhinelander middle school employee has since resigned from her post as an eighth-grade English language arts teacher, the district said.
Her husband – who has now filed for divorce – told law enforcement he installed cameras in their home after becoming suspicious.
He secretly recorded in the boy’s bedroom in the basement, according to the criminal complaint.
That is said to have shown sexual activity between the two which police say has been going on for months.
She said they closed to the door to his bedroom as the teenager was ‘a loud gamer’.
Pudlowski was released on a $5,000 signature bond after appearing in court Monday.
Her next appearance is scheduled for June 15.”
