How Could You? Hall of Shame-UK- Ann Seymour

From The Green, Thurlby, UK, 67-year-old former foster mother Ann Seymour “admitted two charges of indecently assaulting the  [15-year-old foster] boy during the second half of 1988. She was given a two-year community rehabilitation order and put  on the sex offenders’ register for five years.”

The light sentence is due to the deterioration of her husband’s health due to the discovery of the crime. Judge Michael Heath said, ““For the despicable thing that you did you deserve to  go to prison and to prison for some time. To satisfy your own lust for his young body you engaged in that sexual act with him.” Seymour initially claimed their sexual relationship only began after the boy’s 16th birthday but pleaded guilty on the day of  the trial.

Robert Underwood, defending, said: “She is full of shame. [and now she is in our Hall of Shame] They  have moved away from what was their home. They now live in  Stamford. The whole experience has caused her to feel regret and remorse.”
