Malaysia says “Demand for Babies For Adoption Contributes to Baby Trafficking”

The article Demand for Babies For Adoption Contributes to Baby Trafficking [Bernama 10/10/12] explains that there were 32 baby trafficking cases since 2010–13 in 2010, 11 in 2011, 8 in the first seven months of 2012.

Contributing factors to the trafficking include “poverty, unpaid debts, giving birth to babies out of wedlock” and “deliberately selling babies.”
