Welcome to Rally Reform!
The talking starts here. And we don’t just mean idle chit-chat or tired cliches spouted by the adoption industry. The collection of information presented here will widen the lens on adoption, child welfare activities, and their consequences in order to help you connect the dots of today’s adoption issues.
We are adoptive parents determined to reform the adoption industry and child welfare system without ever losing sight of the best interests of the children. While we believe adoption is a good option for some children, we are also fed up with lies and corruption that permeate so much of what currently goes on in the adoption world. We are enraged that so many of us have nowhere to turn when there are serious problems in both the pre-adoptive and post-adoptive phases of adoptive parenting.
So be prepared for this forum to tell it like it is, without mincing words or trying to weasel our way into the good graces of agency representatives, adoption-business lobbyists, and other organizations more intent on lining their pockets or feeding their egos than in admitting what a mess the adoption industry and child welfare services are in the world today.
Rally Reform is prepared to tackle the most important issues in the world of adoptive parenting, agency practices, the failures of the child welfare system, and all things adoption related. We will bring you current news and commentary on domestic and international adoption and child welfare issues, whether positive news about legislation or devastating news about pervasive corruption.  We seek to educate adoptive parents and the greater adoption community about concerns of raising an adopted child, issues that may affect our children, ethics, and reform efforts.  We will strive to make discussions in these and other areas child-centered, and we particularly hope that our readers will comment and stretch our perspectives even further. Our goal is to be both a resource and an avenue for change.
Readers will find that some of our views are set in stone. For example, Rally Reform supports unconditional access to original birth certificates for everyone. No exceptions.
In other areas, we will present issues from various points of view, inviting the community-at-large to join and offer new information and perspectives for growth and change.
We are here to be a watchdog for, communicate and solve problems with, and petition for an adoption community that often feels voiceless and helpless.
We invite you to join in the conversation! Our comment section allows for you to remain anonymous so you can feel free to say what you really feel and know. Profanity and flaming is not allowed. Rally does reserve the right to delete posts, although we would prefer to see discussions run their course.
Welcome to our blog. Please join the discussion today.
Sincerely,
Rally Reform
