How Could You? Hall of Shame- Laura Duarte UPDATED

From Lompoc, California, Foster mother Laura Duarte,37,”has been arrested for child abuse after police say she abused a 9-year-old boy.

Sgt. Chuck Strange with the Lompoc Police Department tells KSBY News the woman was the child’s foster mom.

Police say late last month, they received a report of possible abuse of the child.

Detectives conducted an intense investigation and after multiple interviews, they say the report was substantiated.

Police arrested Laura Duarte, 37.

They say during interviews after her arrest, she admitted to several acts of abuse against the 9-year-old.

Duarte was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.

Her bail is set at $100,000.”
